___FROSTFIRE A team of researchers from NCAR, the University of Colorado, and the U.S. Forest Service participated in FROSTFIRE, testing a suite of ground based and aircraft-mounted instruments designed to study the dynamics of wildfires. Visible (VIS) and infrared (IR) videocameras, ultraviolet through near-IR spectrometers, and a multi-channel VIS-IR mapping scanner were used to study fire dynamics and propagation, and flame combustion. |
