The Second International Symposium on Quantitative Precipitation Forecasting and Hydrology, sponsored by the WMO, WWRP, and NCAR, builds on current advances in multiscale watercycle research. Held on the University of Colorado campus in Boulder, Colorado, the 2nd Symposium invites papers on the estimation and prediction of precipitation and the consequent hydrological response. Emphasis will be on common problems and promising solutions for regional and local prediction. Prediction will span the range from nowcasts to sub-seasonal forecasts.
