The theme of the workshop is to review where we are in the path of the WRF modeling system development and collect feedback from the user community. User community inputs will be considered for possible inclusion to the WRF Research Applications Board's long-range scientific plan. Authors are encouraged to submit papers that relate to the workshop theme in any relevant area, including: convection-resolving modeling, hurricane modeling, physics development, regional climate modeling, data assimilation, ensemble forecasting, air quality and chemistry, verification, and advanced computing.
All workshop presentations and abstracts will be published on the web this year (though you may indicate that you do NOT want us to publish your materials, when you submit it). Presentation titles and a short abstract are requested no later than April 14, and the extended abstracts in PDF format need to be submitted by May 31. Both formats can be submitted using the SUBMIT ABSTRACTS button, left. Full details for presenters are available on our Presenter's FAQ.
The deadline for early registration is May 31, 2006. The early registration fee is $175.00. If you register after May 31, the registration fee will be $225.00.
This year's workshop will be held at the Center Green Auditorium at NCAR's Center Green campus. Blocks of hotel rooms are reserved at 5 local hotels. More information about the workshop location and lodging is available at the "Travel/Lodging" link.
